It's Back to School time! Open house is coming soon, therefore, I wanted to share with you two 'Welcome Sign In' Signs I created this year. The purpose of my sign is for parents and guardians to see it, feel welcome, and as a reminder for them to please sign in on the sign in sheet I will lay out. Below is a step-by-step guide on making a simple 'Welcome Sign'.

 This year I was considering how to set up stations that may be fun and easy for me to place material in since I haven't worked with daily stations in many years! As I was considering how to do these and captivate interest, I decided to utilize my new 'math stations idea' and create " Colorful Captivating Station Bags". To create these great engaging station bags, I purchased colored bags, stickers, and glue. I labeled the station bags with a permanent marker based on the stickers I had and with positive encouragement. I then put several layers of glue over the stickers so they don't peel off easily and hopefully last longer.
To set up my stations, I have the bags set out with materials in each bag for the students. The materials relate to the concept being taught or reinforced. Each time the students complete the station, I'll take the materials out and put in another activity for students to do. |
